PIN SEVEN: Concrete light, used as a unique industrial design. I imagine this light to be found in warehouse used as a design studio/business. The cracking in the concrete allows the netting material behind to be visible and adds texture to the light.

karen Bit Vejle is an exquisite amazing papercut artist who produces very delicate detailed paper illustrations that leaves the viewer wowed. To make this she only uses the paper she will cut into and scissors.

Using a pair of scissors, Karen Bit Vejle has beautifully cut sheets of paper to mimic Persian carpets and doilies. Her work has been displayed in numerous galleries and museums in Scandinavia and United States. Photos © Karen Bit Vejle Via Skumar.

This work is by Jessica Coote who creates hand embroideried art work that involves no machine techniques or glue of any sort to construct her textile artworks. I really like how her work is figurative and also she used same colours that the objects are. To achieve the textures, colours and relief she combines multitude of materials, fabrics and techniques. She explores great richness of each scene through its's colour, textures, patterns, organic forms, light and shadows.

I hope this brightens up your day like it did mine. Summer will come, eventually. Oil Seed Field Hand Embroidered Textile Landscape by Jessica Coote From the project ‘Textile Landscapes of The South Downs National Park.
