Awesome modern Mullet by Emma Bass #mullet #modernmullet
I made this video a while back for synth wave band Attack the Fire. The lyrics to Dark Horizon (by Clym Arnold) are inspired by the works of HP Lovecraft and I wanted the video to have a kind of Hammer horror feel. You can follow Attack the Fire on Soundcloud here https://soundcloud.com/user-730837700
Spirals by Simon Heartfield from his latest album 'All that is solid melts into air' This isn't the official video for the track but I made a short clip to promote a live set that Simon is playing at a gig soon.
My first experiment with Sankyo Super 8 cine camera, an expensive hobby but so worth it! I shot with Kodak Vision 3 Colour but in post I made it black and white, it suited the vibe of the movie which I wanted to be quite Japanese horror in style. I edited and colour graded in Final Cut Pro www.gaugefilm.co.uk developed the film and I can recommend their service. Sound by http://freesound.org/people/toiletrolltube/sounds/
A video I made recently for Jacks' new release on Ear Rot Records. It's mostly stop animation, filmed entirely on my iPhone and consists of many shots of the same tree but from slightly different angles.
I made this video for the interestingly titled track 'The sound of a cat's football' by You are Nothing on Ear Rot Records. It was shot entirely on my iPhone during a very long and tedious motorway journey home from a holiday in Wales.
A video I made for artist Grey Over Life. I made videos for a two track EP for GOL - I made the videos in a similar style to compliment each other. In this one I used vintage looking colour tones. I wanted it to reflect the poignancy of the track. The footage is mostly my own and features my cat, my leg and hand and also various friends. I also used a clip from one of my favourite stock footage people at Videezy, clip from Brody Davis.
I made this video for electronic music artist Grey Over Life. I get quite anxious when people ask me to make videos for them as I'm not very good at sticking to a brief....luckily Grey Over Life didn't have one. I used video and stop motion and was influenced by Takashi Ito's awesome work 'Spacey'
Simon Heartfield recently asked me to make a video for one of the tracks off his new album 'All that is solid melts into air' - This is 'Akhmatova Theme' Simon is an amazing musician, DJ and visual artist. His work has inspired me massively so I was over the moon to be asked to do this.
