Xiaomi sold $2 billion worth of handsets in China in 2012 and is fast emerging as a force in China, the world’s largest mobile phone market, with revenue forecast to double in 2013.  They sold seven million mobile phones in 2012 by using designs that "mimic the look and feel of the iPhone and using marketing that seems right out of Apple’s playbook." It is now the sixth biggest smartphone vendor in China, ranking above Apple. Xiaomi owns about 5% of the market with Apple just behind on 4%.
