Sir Terry Frost (1915-2003) was an English artist noted for his abstracts. Started painting while a prisoner of war in Germany 1943. Moved to St Ives 1946 and studied under Leonard Fuller; then studied from 1947 at the Camberwell School of Art under Pasmore and Coldstream. In 1992, he was elected a Royal Academician and he was knighted in 2000.
