I'm in my favourite place for a few days! 😊⠀ The studio is where the magic 💫 happens, so it's important to me that it looks the part. I got this gorgeous low to the ground velvet chair at Ardingly Antiques Fair, which is an enormous, magical, muddy and ridiculous carry-on. ❤��️⠀ The wall colour is "Night Jewels 3" by @DuluxUk I'm not promoting it, I'm just letting you know because I know I'll get asked. 😉⠀ Dark walls are going nowhere! My happiest time is when I'm at the drawing table creating art! In the latest collection I'm exploring the hidden women of history- Women who were wiped out of a very patriarchal version of history, women we should have heard of. So far some of my favourites are The Black Madonna, yes Christ's mother depicted as black all over Europe, and virtually erased from history! I frequently get asked what I do when I say I’m a designer. It’s so much more than just my designs, it’s a brand with an anti-sweatshop ethos. It’s all about making fun, playful prints - cushions, scarves, womenswear- in a way that’s ethical & sustainable. We’re not exploiting anyone. There are no children working on it.
