Founding Odd Future member Tyler The Creator is an American rapper, singer songwriter and video director. He is also known for his bold fashion brand "Golf Wang". He first rose to prominence in 2010 with the alternative hip hop group Odd Future. He has since created 5 solo albums (2011-2019), winning Grammy awards for both 'Igor' and 'Flower Boy' under the category best rap album. This illustration features Tyler eating some ice cream from his flavour Collaboration with Jeni's Ice Creams.
American signer Erykah Badu is seen as the queen of the neo-soul genre. She is an activist, actor, singer and record producer with influences from 70's soul and 80's hip-hop. Her unique, soulful voice first made its mark during the 90's. ' Baduizm'- her 1997 debut album was a booming success which received a critical acclaim as well as winning her two Grammy awards. This illustration is a personal project, representing Erykah during the early 2000's.
A neo-soul and hiphop duo. The name 'Oshun' relates to the Yoruba deity or goddess. It represents elements of femininity and womanhood. Their music is a homage to this and has a purpose of empowering women whilst promoting political and cultural awareness. It has been described as a "sonic manifestation of Afrofuturism". They released their debut album in 2015 and have since then gained a huge following. Their futuristic aesthetic has become popular amongst fans.
