Boats in harbor, Seahouses, England, UK Though no longer a major industry, fishing is still very much a part of life in Northumberland. Scenes like this one in the village of Seahouses are common. I included fishing gear in this composition to complete my “fish” story.

Polruan is an ancient fishing village which is famous for its boat building heritage. This delightful little village sits opposite Fowey in Cornwall. During our stay in Fowey we often got the people ferry or the car ferry across to Polruan. This little village is one of the gateways to some beautiful coastal walks and stunning scenery. It is also home to the best chicken burger meal I have ever had, may I add!!!! Cornwall September 2011
