A chip off the old block, we love nothing more than the wonderful layers of chipped paint on this mid Victorian pine chest of drawers. A charming piece in very good working condition, with just a few old papered repairs to the top left hand drawer and raised on later added brass castors so you can roll it into a new spot whenever you feel like it! English, circa 1880. #foundbyhowe

A wonderful C19th French laundry or ‘lavandière’ makes for a great console table or somewhere to display your studio pottery, French circa 1850. The lovely naturally pale colour and patina of the washed out elm is a perfect tonal match for the textured gesso finish on our vast #madebyhowe Bucranium Mirror.
🚩 New Arrivals Day at HOWE 🚩 We've added our latest finds to our website (link in bio). Today's selection includes this very lovely and useful mid C19th oval mirror, dry scraped back to the original giltwood and retaining its mercury plate, though we have replaced the back board, English circa 1860 #foundbyhowe⠀
This late C19th travelling storage or Drapers box is full of character. Made by Charles Best of 68 Fore Street, Cripplegate, London and retaining the maker's original label and floral lining paper it's sure to have carried a whole world of possessions inside its studded oilcloth cover. Coming out of these adventures in one (well worn) piece, all that's missing is the key for its lock clasp. English, circa 1880 #foundbyhowe
