Recently found Scottish masterpiece. "Pink Roses," an original oil work by one of Scotland's most influential artists, Samuel Peploe. McTear's Auctioneers in Glasgow identified the Peploe, which it values at £300,000, and plans to auction later this month
Samuel Peploe, tulips. Contains a vase of different coloured tulips. Has a semi-rough texture caused by short, quick brush strokes. Not much patterns, rather blocks of colours such as pink, green, yellow and white. Has dark, navy outlines creating a heavy shadow. This creates a contrast between the dark background and colourful foreground.
