The official launch of the new Scilly gig 'Tregarthens' on Town Beach, St Marys, April 2012. Blessed by both the Anglican and Methodist Ministers and launched by the Lord Lieutanant of Cornwall, she was built by craftsman shipwright Peter Hicks in his workshop at Porthloo, St. Marys. In her debut year, she was rowed to second place by a St. Marys gig crew in the Women's Championship. Well done all round!
