Mary Berry's Christmas chutney - It's that time of year again! After this recipe went down a storm as christmas gifts last year, I am making it again. Extractor fan is broken though so we have a very vinegary kitchen/living room. EEK!
Homemade Gift: Cranberry Infused Vodka Find a bottle of Vodka with a tight fitting stopper. Poke holes in fresh cranberries and fill the bottle with the cranberries. The more you add, the more flavor you will infuse into the vodka. Add a tablespoon of sugar to the bottle. Fill the bottle with the vodka you prefer and seal.
I had a sandwich with my husband one afternoon that had this onion marmalade on it. Within one bite I knew I had to go home and recreate this sandwich. Flank Steak, red onion marmalade and smoked gouda cheese on a toasted garlic bun. I LOVED IT!
Christmas Countdown Gifts: Caramelised Red Onion Chutney
Tomato chilli chutney recipe. This is a great make-ahead recipe as it's actually better if you make it around a month in advance. A great present for a foodie – make a mini hamper with this chutney, a nice cheese and some homemade oatcakes
Gift: This apple chutney recipe is ready-to-eat straight after you've cooked it, but you'll find the flavours mature and change over time into something even yummier! I personally think it tastes best after 3 months or more. The unopened jars will keep for up to 2 years or so, but I'm sure they'll be eaten before then! Once opened, the chutney should be kept refrigerated and eaten within 3 weeks.
