#dyk that #pinemartens spend most of their time in #trees? They make dens in the natural cavities of older trees where they rest and raise their young. However, as many of #England's #forest sites are young coniferous plantations, this can make it harder for them to find suitable denning #habitats. To help any populations that may be in #Yorkshire, as part of our Heritage Lottery Fund Yorkshire Pine Project we'll be installing 50 den boxes and the first of these have recently been installed!
