Inspired the sea and the exquisite patterns of sea foam and the beautiful formation of coral. Many of these pieces are hand sculpted from wax. Other pieces are…
I am just making some more of these beautiful bubble hoop earrings. These are inspired by the bubbles in waves that catch the sunlight as they lap upon the shore and against the rocks. These gorgeous little hoops were made using an ancient technique where tiny pieces of silver are melted into individual, little balls of silver that are then painstakingly soldered onto the piece of jewellery.
Did you know that for every piece of jewellery I sell I donate to One Tree Planted who plant a tree. Every tree makes a positive impact for nature, wildlife, and people. Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and well-being, and create jobs for social impact.
Anybody else love collecting shells on the beach? I just love cockle shells - these cockleshell earrings and necklace were made from actual shells collected on the shores of the Solent near Hamble. Made from recycled sterling silver and plated in 24 carat gold. #seashells #cockleshells #natureinspired #solent #beachlover
Beautifully delicate silver cockle shell earrings evoke the sea and time spent paddling on the shore or in the waves and memories of holidays on the beach. Perfectly elegant for everyday or a special occasion. The original shell was found on a beach on the Hampshire coast. 1.5cm in diameter, they come in a matt finish that captures all the texture and details of the orginal shell.
Some more items going up on my website. These simple studs are another of my pieces inspired by delicate patterns and lines in seafoam and the tiny bubbles that catch the light to f as they gently lap the shore. They were originally sculpted using melted wax before being cast into recycled silver. (They are both approximately 20mm long).
Inspired by delicate patterns in sea foam and the tiny bubbles that catch the light to form intricate patterns of lace as they gently lap the shore. They were originally sculpted using melted wax to form the water droplets before being cast into recycled silver. They are approximately 2.2 cm wide and 3mm wide.
A rainy day but sorting through these sea shells to choose some for casting is reminding me of sunnier times. I have loads of shells but choosing the right shell which is a good size for jewellery, will cast well and will make an interesting piece is taking me ages.
Inspired by the beautiful organic texture of coral. This one of a kind ring was made by the ancient lost wax technique and was carved originally in wax to produce a beautiful, organic and uneven form before being cast in sterling silver. The ring is heavily textured and uneven unlike anything made in a factory. This ring would be ideal for someone who loves the sea or organic textures and makes a unique gift. Comes in a polished silver finish and comes in a gift box.
