The original 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard owned first by Peter Green who used it throughout his career with the original Fleetwood Mac before passing it on to Gary Moore who played it throughout the 1970's.
'59 Les Paul - I was asked last night by my brother one of the most serious questions a guitar player can face....would you rather have a Vintage Strat (1962 Sunburst in this case), or a Les Paul (a '59 being the holy grail of Les Pauls). As of late, I've been leaning more towards the Fender camp, until I remembered what got me into playing in the first place...Jimmy Page, who, for most of his Led Zeppelin career was a Les Paul man...so I answered, without question...I would take a Les Paul.
