One day, seeing the beautiful effect of light through fuchsia colored translucent paper, I decided the paper alone would make a visually rich subject. The painting was challenging but satisfying to complete. The title Cerise, meaning cherry in French, is a color somewhere between fuchsia or magenta and red.
