Room No.9 by Amanda Lynn Interior Design. This family bathroom in a Melbourne Edwardian home was once a spare bedroom. With plenty of space to play with, Amanda chose a freestanding bath and a generous shower to create a luxurious bathing experience. The ornate fireplace had been boarded up and was only discovered once renovations were underway. Photo: Martina Gemmola.
Inverno is an unbeatable value, grey marble style, wall and floor tile. It is a glazed porcelain with a matt finish. This creates a strong, durable tile with greater slip resistance. Because of this it is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens and hallways.
After they re-sheetrocked the walls, the couple installed inexpensive, faux shiplap on top and painted the entire room white. Rachel cleverly chose paint with a satin-finish so that light entering the bathroom would reflect from any angle, making the bathroom appear larger.
