Incorporating modern appliances without sacrificing the traditional feel was important to the design. Miele appliances including a combi microwave, larder fridge and a slimline dishwasher were all integrated into the design, concealed in order to maintain the traditional design. The Mercury range cooker built into the inglenook fireplace added to the traditional atmosphere of the room.
