Sophie Calle, "Room 30 - March 4th", 1981-1983. On Monday, February 16, 1981 I was hired as a temporary chambermaid for three weeks in a Venetian hotel. I was assigned twelve bedrooms on the fourth floor. In the course of my cleaning duties, I examined the personal belongings of the hotel guests and observed through details lives which remained unknown to me. On Friday, March 6 the job came to an end.

This is an image called The Argument by Sophie Calle which I really like as it shows how a fight occurred between people and the aftermath of it all. Museum Exhibition, Documentary Photography, Color Photography, Exhibitions, Assessment, Contemporary Art, Poetry, Mood, Sculpture

SOPHIE CALLE I do not particularly understand her work, but I was attracted to the single bright phone within the photograph. Usually hotels do not have such interesting or bright phones as their tonal ranges are more muted. On Voyeurism

Sophie Calle stepped for the first time in a museum when she had her own exhibition. At least that is the story we should believe. But one thing is for sure.. she isn’t an ordinary photograph…
