Artist Louise Balaam creates atmospheric landscapes and abstract paintings. This painting has an in flight like quality as if from a birds-eye-view. The marks are a little more varied then many of Balaam's works, allowing for more to look upon and study.
Sophie Cape’s latest exhibition ‘Montagne di marmo- drawings from the quarries of Carrara‘ is the result of an artist residency Cape took part in at Studio Nicoli (Carrara, Italy) in June, July, and August of 2016. Cape hiked into the quarries of Carrara daily at 4pm in the blazing heat to gather the dust and remnants of the marble cuttings to use in her works.
