Sketch of the Albert Bridge in London, UK The Albert Bridge was designed and built by Rowland Mason Ordish in 1873, it proved to be structurally unsound, so between 1884 and 1887 Sir Joseph Bazalgette icorporated some of the design elements of the suspension bridge. Greater London Council in 1973 added two concrete piers, which transformed the central span into a single beam bridge, resulting in an unusual hybrid of three different designs. It is English Heritage Grade II listed Beam Bridge, Architecture Design Drawing, English Heritage, Suspension Bridge, Greater London, Rowland
