Archivists have uncovered the last letter written by the closest comrade of Captain Scott (pictured) Sir Edward Wilson, before the crew died on the return from the South Pole.

The notebook (pictured) is a Wellcome Photographic Exposure Record and Diary 1910 and was found by New Zealand’s Antarctic Heritage Trust by Scott’s Hut in the Cape Evans area of Antarctica.
