I spent yesterday evening at my schools Year 11 prom. It was quite emotional but so uplifting. Every single student in the room was so full of joy and of hope for their exciting futures.   Although they may have taken some persuading I had the most amazing time convincing them of the joy of literature and its importance in our lives. We had so many great discussions that really resonated and made all of us think hard about our own lives and choices.  I wish I could bottle up the excitement…
