Runde's Room: Differentiation in Writing - Goal-Setting Clip Chart! A neat thing to have in your room so that students have a way to be responsible for their writing goals. Students will want to be able to move their pins up.

Expanding a sentence! Great for a writing station: giving students the prompt and have them add to it.

Expanding sentences to ten words or more. This would be a great lesson for my graders on how to add details and parts of speech to a simple sentence in their writing.

Love this idea from Delights and Designs… You could easily extend this for more able pupils to contain more word types.    Children are encouraged to come up and pick a word from the teacher. They then place the stick in the correct pot. To further extend, they could then pick a word from each cup and create a sentence. Perfect for assessment!
