A new one for me: skull teapot made by Carola de Mese

Made from an antique pewter teapot with reclaimed metals and crystal beads. The inside is lined with red velvet adn an antique key hangs from the centre. By Carola Del Mese

For the Love of God (2007) Created by Damien Hirst. In 2007, art historian Rudi Fuchs, observed: ‘The skull is out of this world, celestial almost. It proclaims victory over decay. At the same time it represents death as something infinitely more relentless. Compared to the tearful sadness of a vanitas scene, the diamond skull is glory itself. I'm going to use this as my template for my 'amused to death' skull.

"For the Love of God", 2007 by Damien Hirst, is a platinum cast of a human skull encrusted with flawless diamonds. Set on the forehead is a large, pear-shaped light fancy pink diamond, called the Skull Star Diamond. The teeth are from the original skull.
