Bournemouth Bus Station 1968
Bournemouth Bus Station, the enthusiast's paradise, in 1968. This was a double deck building with Hants & Dorset services on top and express services beneath. This classic shot shows H&D Bristol KSW6G 1325 (LRU 54) in company with LD6G 1356 (RLJ 506) and various other Lodekkas, standing in the middle awaiting its next turn. This structure was to be damaged by a fire in 1976 which deemed it unrepairable and it was later demolished and a car park built on the site.

In the early 1980s Crosville acquired many unusual double deckers to replace Lodekkas and increase one man operation.Perhaps the most unusual for an NBC operation were a batch of ex South Yorkshire PTE East Lancs bodied Bristol VRs .Here is OWE 277K at Oswestry in 1982.
