Odeon Cinema, Swiss Cottage, Camden, London, UK. My local cinema in the 1970s Oscar Deutsch established the Odeon cinema chain in 1933, and Odeon became a registered trade mark. His cinemas followed a style, embracing the modern movement and Art Deco, and many were new builds designed by Harry Weedon. The Odeon in Swiss Cottage was opened in 1937, and is unusual in being of red brick. Photographer:John Maltby Date Taken: 1937

The Odeon cinema, Muswell Hill, London, which operates in Fortis Green Road, is a Grade II Listed Building, largely because of its fine art deco interior. Opened in September 1936, it is considered the finest Odeon designed by the architect George Coles.(Photo by courtesy of David Cook.). @designerwallace
