CLASS FINGERPRINT ART: What an amazing gift for a teacher! Assign a different color for each child in the class. Lightly trace a simple, but elegant outline on a large sheet of paper. Have the students take turns dipping their fingers in their paint color and adding it to the design. At the bottom of the page have each student sign the art by writing their name under their color dot. <3

Each child gets a 1/4 of a circle and decorates in a way that says something about themself. Nice integration with fractions also.

Everyone gets a square with a quarter circle, this is the end result- could be a good ice breaker beginning of year activity. Each student decorates the square and includes their name. Nice way to decorate the bulletin boards in the beginning of the year!

Giving students prompts for ideas (such as: I like, I adore, I am, I want to, I long for, I don't understand, I live for, I eat, My family is, etc.) This way, students as young as fifth grade can use the prompts from which to dive off.
