I like the fact that this artist has used the proportions of the face in a very abstract way by moving the features. This shows together and apart because all the features are there but they are in a muddled order.

ARTFINDER: Monochrome by andy butler - Pencil and graphite drawing on canvas. A very striking and powerful image of a beautiful woman. She had wonderful big eyes so I emphasised them by adding mo.

Francis Bacon - self portrait I find it interesting on how his distorted faces can represent alienation.

Portrait of Michel Leiris 1976 . Frqancis Bacon, Louise and Michel Leiris Collection.

andy butler ~ "The Stare" ~ Collage / mixed media: Pencil and paint mixed media work base on the concept of fragmentation.

ARTFINDER: The Stare by andy butler - Pencil and paint mixed media work base on the concept of fragmentation. I was interested in the intensity of her gaze on me and the viewer.

Francis Bacon. Self-Portrait. 1969. --I cannot help wondering what put him over the edge (if anything)--some artists are wack, some are just good at digging into what that "wack" must feel like...

Sticky tape faces, Wes Naman. I like this because it relates to beauty distortion again and I find it really interesting.

Distorted sticky tape faces

Wes Naman is currently based in New Mexico and he has created this hilarious scotch tape series. Naman has stuck layers of tape all around peoples faces giving them rather odd and funny features. Prints are available on his online shop via his website.

NY based artist, Wyatt Mills‘ wild and chaotic. The word that initially springs when I ponder at this creation is PANDEMONIUM. Within this word is the word 'DEMON', the figure within this image looks significantly DEMONIC in my opinion.
