This rare BAP priority species has just been discovered in Suffolk by David Strauss in coastal grassland at Sizewell. This is the first Suffolk record for a species otherwise only known in the UK from the North Norfolk coast at Holkham and a site in Cumbria. County Fungus recorder Neil Mahler kindly provided this photo and will be taking a voucher specimen for the mycologists at Kew. Keep an eye out for these tiny stars (not much bigger than rabbit droppings) in short turf along the coast…
