A Slow living habit: my mindful journey through beachcombing
for many people, the concept of slow living has gained significant attention recently. For this reason, the desire to embrace a more mindful and intentional approach to our daily lives is appealing. Especially when we feel we can’t keep in touch with the “ever-running world” anymore. My simple way of reconnecting my inner peace is through the art of BEACHCOMBING. Looking for treasures, beach combing became part of my life, and with it formed a new life. The beach at low tide is teeming with natural treasures. When I was a child I used to sit in front of my grandparent’s house on the summer holidays. I had a habit of watching people walking on the streets every day. The memories are now all hazy, I barely remember anything, but some details are still in my head. That old man, riding a rickety bicycle while trying to balance two heavy bags on his side, or that loud airplane flying across the sky; a woman walking very confidently with her new hairstyle or the moment when I noticed a chimney sweep and instantly touched one of my buttons muttering to myself: Kéményseprőt látok, szerencsét találok.” Which is a Hungarian superstition and it means “I see a chimney sweep, I find luck.” I grew up and a lot has changed, but something remained the same.... | Healing Journal |Beachcombing diary
