Siskin ~ Carduelis spinus

Eurasian siskin (Carduelis spinus) is a small passerine bird in the finch family Fringillidae. It is also called the European siskin, common siskin or just siskin. Other names include Black-headed Goldfinch, barley bird and aberdevine.


Siskins come in a range of colour variations, from all-over canary-yellow, to soft greys, to mottled black-white-and-brown, always with at least a dash of neon yellow

Love these little birds but they are eating me out of house and home. Pets in Town are doing very well! From 50 to 500 visit my garden a day!
