DARPA & Boston Dynamics have created Legged Squad Support System (LS3); designed to help soldiers carry their gear in the field in terrain where wheeled vehicles just won’t cut it. Basically, it’s like a robotic donkey, can carry 400 pounds of equipment & works autonomously, obeying simple spoken orders.
