£5k Funding Opportunity The University of Cumbria is hosting a new Renewable Energy Test and Education Centre (RETEC) to support research into innovative, low carbon energy technologies by providing seed funding for local small businesses. Now looking for small businesses to access research vouchers for use on energy projects. Each voucher is worth £5,000 in value and can be used to purchase time or expertise from the university's academic team or from external consultants.
The University of Cumbria’s IFLAS)will hold an open lecture at their Ambleside campus on Tuesday 3 June. Delivered by Jane Burston, Head of the Centre for Carbon Measurement at the National Physical Laboratory, the lecture is entitled The New Climate for Business and will address the need for a systemic shift in economic activity and incentives to address climate change.
