John Lennon very briefly used this sunburst semi-hollowbody Rickenbacker during the Beatles' 65 tour of Spain & Italy. It either disappeared or was given away. Note the harmonica neck-rig in his left hand. His guitar strap is a Vox 'Python' featuring flexible serpentine metal scales.

You can see it in video clips of their performance of their 1971 hit 'No Matter What' produced by George.
