Vintage Pearls have a glow about them. I believe I can see this in these pictures that I have pinned, even if these are only photographs.

Diana only wore the "swan lake" necklace once, and it was only on loan to her by Garrard's, who had been commissioned to make a pair of matching earrings. Princess Diana borrowed the necklace hoping to own the set, but was killed before the transaction could ever be completed with Garrard's. She never wore the earrings that were made to go with the necklace.

An antique pearl, and diamond necklace, European, c. 1880. Necklace with ten pearl drops each capped with small rose-cut diamonds. Two additional diamonds links. Necklace contains 289 old European and single-cut diamonds. They are arranged in a swag motif with the tear-dropped shaped pearls hanging as pendants. Queen’s Earrings Gloucester Pearl Pendant Earrings These earrings originally belonged to Adelaide, Duchess of Teck. The pearls and diamonds were hanging from HM’s Duchess of Teck earrings, which she wore on her wedding day and for each of her children’s first official photo of her holding them. When the earrings were separated, a single collet diamond stud became the top ‘fastener’ for the earrings.
