Pom Poms and Pinecones Christmas Ornaments
When I was growing up, my mom made a lot of handmade Christmas ornaments and decorations. It was my favourite part of Christmas to play with all the ornaments and rearrange them on the tree. It's 25 years later, and just this last weekend, my mom was trying to convince me that we need to split up all of our childhood ornaments between my sister, brother and myself. All I wanted to say was, 'You can't split up all those old, tattered memory filled ornaments! They belong on your tree forever!'…

Popsicle Stick Christmas Trees
Soooo? Do you have your Christmas tree up yet?? My girls have been so excited for Christmas that ours has been up for about a week now and the kids are LOVING it! Every craft project they do, no matter how big or small, they say, 'I'm going to hang this on the tree!' I said they could hang whatever they wanted on the BACK of the tree... ha! Hopefully that doesn't make me a bad mom for making them hide everything on the back?! I had to draw the line at my 3 year old's chalk drawings though…

The reason I bring it up today is because I’d love to share what we plan on doing this month…

Rocket Garland
I found these cute rockets from Alpha Mom at Sassy Sites: If I were at home I would actually have everything I needed to make these. I hope you do, because they are such a fun project for the kids and so cute! I will be making them next year for sure, and making them early enough to use as a garland for at least a month before July. If you want to find out how to make them, you can check it out HERE.
Handprint Campfires
We started our camping unit today. I brought in a little tent for the dramatic play area. The kids can go fishing and roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories around the fire! I will show you that tomorrow. Today we used our handprints to make a little campfire. The kids started by tearing brown construction paper into strips. Then they glued them to the bottom of white paper. (I would have loved to do this on black paper to make a night-time fire, but the paint wouldn't have shown up.)…
