LMS Stanier Black 5 4-6-0 45101, late of Newton Heath shed Manchester, awaits its fate in Albert Draper's Neptune Street scrapyard surrounded by the debris of the steam engines cut up earlier. The Hull & Barnsley Railway goods shed behind is still standing today as part of a frozen food factory.

Drapers Scrap yard Hull East Yorkshire 20th July 1968

Hull Drapers scrap yard by 1968 was based in the ex-Hull & Barnsley Railway Neptune Street Goods Yard. In this view LMS Black 5 4-6-0 45101 was awaiting the torch. Later that year and into 1969 the last BR steam locos made their way to this yard to be scrapped but one, 45305, survived thanks to Albert Draper.
