Undermount double door washstand with granite top - upcycled from an old Victorian cupboard that cost £45 on Ebay. Total cost of project including granite and undermount sinks - just under £400. You'd struggle to find something similar in the shops for less than £1000

How I turned an old victorian cupboard into a beautiful new washstand complete with double undermount sinks and granite worktop

The inside of the cupboard is modified to accommodate the new plumbing. Pretty proud of my plumbing here: 32mm bottle traps (76mm seal); I took the 15mm copper pipework right up to the taps without using flexible hoses, and used 36mm solvent weld pipes with a reducer to connect them to the 43mm solvent weld waste pipe

A template is taken off the old cupboard top and the position of the new sinks and taps carefully marked. A local granite company produces the new top, which here I'm marking on the underside the position of the new sinks so that they can be fitted perfectly central. The undermount sinks are then siliconed in place
