The shining light of the new dawn - Thameslink services running through the centre of London were reintroduced in 1988 and proved so popular that a plan to enhance the services where planned within the decade. A decade on from that Thameslink 2000 is finally underway.

Lovely orange and brown GMPTE livery, shame about the train. The Class 142 Pacer units are still pretty much a part of the North West's rail network, albeit in the Northern Rail livery. Though I hate these units with a passion, I would still like to see one preserved with the original seat moquette.
