Grand Duchess Ella's emerald sautoire worn by Queen Marie of Yugoslavia. It ended up in Yugoslavia, but has origins with the Romanovs. The pieces were made by Bolin for Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna. The cabochon emeralds in the tiara were given to Ella by her mother-in-law, Tsarina Maria Alexandrovna of Russia. Ella gave the tiara to her niece, Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna,"the Younger".

Queen Marie of Yugoslavia in State Dress, wearing the legendary diamond and cabochon-emerald tiara later sold to Van Cleef & Arpels who still own it and have replaced the emeralds with glass. Her daughter was Queen Marie of Yugoslavia.

24th June and today's pearl and diamond tiara is one I know very little about. It was worn by Queen Alexandra of Yugoslavia, the wife of King Peter. The Yugoslavian Royal Family faced much hardship prior to the Second World War and then exile afterwards. Some fabulous jewels had to be sold. I do not know if they still own this piece.
