»Some goodbyes are not ends but releases.« My new drawing is finally done. Let me know what you’re thinking looking at this. Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.

I like the mixed media feel of this one and the fact that it's black and white. And also that it features a human form, which goes along with our theme of Identity.

I love this piece of art as it shows the variation of hands that have been sketched. The effect of this in the format of a sketch book is that you can experiment in lots of different ways on one page to show the reader or the observer how many different techniques have been used to achieve the final piece.

Future Play and storyboard art is something that I have been wanting to get involved in for a while. I hope, one day, to turn my passion for art into a career of my own. The type of play depicted is "The Artist".

I like this sketchbook due to the dark colours in the background and the technique used to do this. The background is completely filled using paint in layers. The dark browns and reds make a background for the writtten work - these colours are roughly joined with cool colours which make a detailed water and boat scene. I like the way the writing becomes part of he painting. . The overall effect is breathtaking.

by Kathy Moore. Love the stipple on the wings and the big contrast of tone between body and wing.
