Build your house on a strong foundation and it will last. Roots of trees grasping at mother earth is one of the strongest things out there. Great feathering/fading from the house to the roots. The coloring is accurate as well.

Jerry Uelsmann - forerunner of photomontage.  This guy was doing what we do in photoshop, but working meticulously in the dark room.  He broke the rules of photography to develop some beautifully strange and surreal imagery.

He's one of my favorite film photographers. The layering of his images are so amazing and creative. I love the hard contrasts that create such sharp curves. Also, how the black background also isolates the woman's body.
