Fowey is a must see when visiting Cornwall and is only 8.8 miles (17-20 minutes by car) from The Cornwall Hotel. There you will find a collection of unusal and interesting shops, not your typical high street. Fowey has one of the best Regattas usually with the Red Arrows.
Fowey: "The steep, narrow streets lined with jostling cottages, shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants are great fun to explore, though you may find yourself flattened against a wall each time a car attempts to squeeze past. Tantalising views of the glittering estuary are glimpsed through tiny passages, like windows onto the busy river." www.bradtguides.com
