The workspace design experts at Area approached the Creatif team with the need for acoustic solutions for this Hammersmith-based project. Used in a variety of smaller seating areas, our fabric-wrapped 3D acoustic tiles achieve Class A absorption while creating a striking focal point that compliments the array of colours and materials on show throughout. In collaboration with Area and Marek Sikora Photography.
ReSound acoustic ceiling rafts and baffles from Creatif help eliminate noise distraction and, particularly on this occasion, further enhance the visual appeal of this truly unique space, thanks to their bold fabric-wrap finish and the help of some sleek lighting. In collaboration with Overbury.
When Claremont required a solution to eliminate reverberation and combat noise distraction within this populated space, the fit out specialists came to us. A combination of our ReSound acoustic wall panels and ceiling rafts helped to transform an otherwise unpleasant acoustic environment into a much calmer one. ReSound, being a Class A sound absorber, stops 95% of sound that hits it, cutting reverberation and trapping noise at source. In collaboration with Claremont.
Aside from being easy to operate, the Solo 110 system chosen for this project has a 45-dB acoustic rating and reduces sound transfer – ideal for a flexible partition between two meeting rooms. From the plans being approved, all design, manufacture and installation work took place within an agreed four-week window to allow Insite to fit out the rest of the workspace ahead of Peninsula’s arrival. In collaboration with Insite Contracts.
Top facilities designed to encourage productivity require ample acoustics – something our ReSound acoustic ceiling baffles help achieve, addressing the issue of excessive reverberation within several of the video conferencing rooms at this Midlands-based office. In collaboration with Dale Office Interiors.
Made from our highly popular Whisper polyester acoustic material, Whisper Wheels offer a functional, lightweight and creative space division solution. Whisper Wheels offer design freedom with the ability to create any size, shape and incorporate any cut-out design within the sheet size of 1,200mm x 2,400mm – available in a range of colours.
Modus were appointed to deliver this project, and having previous experience with the refurbishment of older buildings were aware of the acoustic challenges ahead – at which stage Creatif were approached for a solution. We installed ceiling-hung ReSound acoustic baffles to break up sound waves, creating a more pleasant space for staff and visitors. Fabric finishes compliment the space, making it look as good as it sounds.
Creatif fully support open plan, agile working environments, and understand the acoustic challenges they present. This is why we were approached by Paragon to help optimise acoustics within the space. ReSound acoustic ceiling rafts from Creatif are highly effective sound absorbers, soaking up 90% of sound that hits them, in turn helping to eliminate noise distraction.
Rated as Scotland’s best modern university, the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) is an institution that’s on the rise. In recent years, UWS has invested heavily in the refurbishment of its Lanarkshire Campus in Hamilton. Working with the fit out specialists SPACE incorporating haa design, and the contractor AKP, we provided a number of solutions, including this moving wall system incorporating mesh panels on a linear track used to create a central divider for the campus’ main canteen.
One of two moving wall systems installed at Youth - a national youth work organisation working for the good of young people, many of whom are vulnerable - on behalf of HOK. The float agile moving panel system shown here provides space flexibility, allowing different zones to be created for a variety of tasks.
To combat against excessive reverberation, Creatif were approached to install a number of ReSound Acoustic Ceiling Rafts within this meeting room. To address the issue on the opposite side of the glass partition, vertically-suspended ReSound Acoustic Ceiling Baffles were installed. In collaboration with Office Principles.
Unsurprisingly, Fender knows all about the need for great acoustics and when their fit out partner Action Workplace needed a moving wall, we received a call. Our Solo wall was perfect for the job. The system’s panels are filled with acoustic materials, help stop unwanted noise transfer between meeting rooms. And with the rocking graphics applied, they fit right in at Fender HQ!
Creatif was approached to provide a number of Class A acoustic ceiling rafts that reduce excessive reverberation when this office’s spacious open plan desk area – which is home to a number of workstations – is in use. All 20 of the horizontally-suspended rafts are wrapped in “Synergy” fabric from Camira Fabrics. A combination of solid and cut-out are present in a variety of different sizes. In collaboration with Absolute Commercial Interiors.
With Float, interior spaces can be transformed in so many ways, creating contemporary, flexible environments that are perfect for activity-based, agile and collaborative working. The lightweight panels can be moved and locked into place in seconds, with a variety of panel designs which compliment the interior of the space. In collaboration with Tétris.
Our Linera straight sliding doors – finished with a natural wood to compliment the interior – were used to create privacy within a team meeting room. Sliding into a pocket parallel with the room’s exterior wall, Linera can be completely hidden from view to create one large, open space when the occasion calls for it.
Our acoustic polyester material, Whisper, was used to create over 50 acoustic baffles in a linear layout that is simple yet striking. All identical in colour, the horizontally-suspended panels are 24mm in thickness and help to absorb unwanted sound within the large open plan spaces. Excessive reverberation is also trapped between the panels to further enhance acoustic comfort.
A number of identical screens were created from our Whisper acoustic polyester material, with a custom-cut pattern to allow for transfer of light, while still helping to define the space. Suspended from our Float moving panel track means they can be moved with ease. To absorb excessive reverberation – a problem which is amplified within open-plan spaces containing lots of hard surfaces, such as this one – a number of acoustic ceiling baffles were also installed. In collaboration with Claremont.
Float is a sliding panel system that glides into place in moments, on demand, anywhere there’s track. A plethora of panel finishes - such as OSB in this case - can be specified, from functional finishes such as drywipe and chalkboard, to decorative moss panels and fabric-wrapped acoustic panels.
Our Whisper acoustic ceiling grid helps to eliminate noise distraction by not only absorbing sound that touches the surface of the material, but also by trapping sound within the gaps. And we might be biased, but we think they look the part, too! In collaboration with Ben Johnson Interiors
