The Physical Photography series takes photography in its literal sense of ‘painting with light’, using the body as inspiration. Each has a narrative, drawing on the model’s own ideas, physique and personal items. This collaborative and intimate portraiture redefines the relationship and the distance between the photographer, the equipment and the model. The body is slightly abstracted by the process, which focuses the attention. The collaging gives the images an underlying structure.
