Vietnam War Summary - Why Did The Vietnam War Start?
On January 31 1967 On a day were there had previously been a seized fire between the North and South. the TET Offensive was lunched by the NVA. It was the largest scaled coordinated attack of the war. The north secretly shipped weapons and other supplies for the past 7 months which were used to attack over 120 cities and military bases. Though the Tet offensive was fought off in a couple it did more damage to the support of the war through media coverage. "A corpsman treats a wounded U.S. Marine during the hard-fought battle for control of Hue's citadel, which was then in the hands of enemy forces. Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines. Hue, South Vietnam. February 1968." Only two are still living from this group: "Cajun Bob" Thoms and Selwyn "S-Man" Taitt.
