As with every artist and every project, some worked more quickly than others. I cut out "needles" from plastic lids, then used a paper punch to make the "eye". This is my take on vocab pockets. I put a variety of high level adjectives for common words such as happy or sad into jewellery bags and hung them onto hooks to encourage children to use them to expand their vocabulary. Jeweller bags were £2 from eBay, bargain!!!

Last school year, I introduced 4th graders to the artwork of Kimmy Cantrell, a Georgia native. They enjoyed making these quirky clay faces so much that I brought it back this year. I experimented a little with the surface but the the objective was the same.
