A good improvement from my first shoot I think. Better lighting, composition, etc, etc. I'm not 100% about the background, but it's different from so many of the other high-speed water balloons on flickr. From my second shoot with my new digital sound trigger. A bit more thought to composition and lighting this time round. Strobist: SB800 on camera left, SB600 behind subject with plexiglass diffusor. Flashes on 1/64th power.

The parallel characters of this image catch my eyes, when I look closely, I feel very sad. The emotion of this photo is very profound. Although there is no war elements showing in this picture, and the boy is only standing in front of the tree, I can feel war, hunger, and deeply depression. Also, the black and white color enhances the sadness and depression of this photo. The facial expression of the boy brings the photo a deep sorrow.
