LNWR locomotives - MikeMorant
Bowen Cooke LNWR Prince of Wales class 4-6-0 No. 5710 in LMSR days. The topic of short working lives and wasted money during the BR steam era crops up with monotonous regularity on internet message boards as well as monthly magazines but it was nothing new as this loco had a working life of only sixteen years having been built at Crewe in 1919 and was withdrawn from I don't know where in 1935. Vic Smith informs me that the location is Willesden with the carriage shed in the background.
