Jennifer spoke about how she saw having dementia as "a gift and a privilege" because it helps her understand a frequently misunderstood condition. Sarah Pickup, President of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services & Co-Chair, Dementia Health and Care Champion Group, was one of the speakers.   She said that many of the estimated 3% of people currently in hospital with dementia shouldn't be there. When it comes to dementia, she added, "Don't assume a cycle of decline."
